In this particular example, we took the back side of the box, carved out the sinewave the company name (RMS Audio), and then finished it up by applying LED light strips to the other side. Once the idea has been converted into an image, that image is them imported into VCarve, where toolpaths are set and gcode generated. After this, the pieces are set up on the bed of the CNC table, clamped into place to prevent inadvertent movement, and then the image is transferred to the MDF as a pocket.

Once the image has been engraved into the MDF, the piece is then painted. The pocket was painted white, so as to make the image stand out more once the resin is poured.
